Hello! I'm Melanie! I've been immersed in the world of reading since a little girl, where I was passionately influenced by my first grade teacher and elementary librarian, who inspired me to pursue a career in teaching.
After 16 years of teaching, I fulfilled my childhood dreams of becoming a librarian, where I have been able to nurture children into a deep love of reading. Although I am certainly not a "Green Thumb" and cannot even attend to artificial flowers, my garden has been cultivated with children throughout my lifetime as I have been blessed to disperse the seeds to watch them grow and flourish.
My heart's desire is to write children's books that will sow the seeds of God's Word into the hearts and minds of children so that they will know how great God's love is for them.
I delight in spending time in God's Word. In all I do, I seek to live my life for God's glory and to share the "Good News" of the Gospel with everyone He places along my path.
When I am not writing, you might find me on an adventurous road trip, curled up with a good book, baking sweet treats, or simply treasuring time with my husband, three grown sons, granddaughter, and Fudgie, the family dog, who sparked my imagination to pursue my dream of writing children's books.
As this dream becomes a reality, my heart is overjoyed to work together with my husband and our two youngest sons, whose passion for art will bring my stories to life with heartfelt and sincere messages and illustrations!
